About Us

The Rotary Club of Darjeeling Himalayas was chartered on 31st March 2021 with 31 members dedicated to serving the community. In its first year, the club focused on education, health, and COVID-19 relief through projects like the CovAid initiative and the inauguration of a school in Bara Mangwa. The following year, the club expanded its impact with the Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA), a career fair, and sanitation efforts, including toilet construction at Rang Bhang School and the WINS project. The club also supported the community through winter clothes and sewing machine donations while spreading joy with Project Mithai. In 2023-24, the club organized a wheelchair donation, a seminar on palliative care, and hosted the District RYLA to empower youth while strengthening global connections through international Rotary visits. This year, the club continues to serve by organizing a POCSO seminar, promoting hygiene with biodegradable sanitary napkins, and supporting Madhyamik students with stationery. The Rotary Club of Darjeeling Himalayas remains committed to creating lasting change and fostering community development.
